MAPRS

About

The purpose of this symposium is to provide networking and professional development opportunities for students, faculty, and administrators affiliated with the Mid-Atlantic PREP/IMSD Research Symposium network in the Southeast region. Our goal is to train and promote scientists of the next generation whose research interests are in the areas of biomedical and behavioral science.

Dr. Abby Whittington joined the VT group at this year's MAPRS, which was organized and hosted by Wake Forest. Her undergrad IMSD trainee, Dr. Adwoa Baah-Dwomoh,  won the 2019 IMSD Undergrad Distinguished Alum Award. We thank the Virginia Tech Provost Office and Fralin Life Sciences for funding this awards, including the plaques and cash, possible.
